About the T.F.L.C.
The Teachers-Festival Liaison Council is a relatively small group of individuals with a collective history that spans almost three decades. Each Fall, this group of teachers and Stratford Shakespeare Festival Education Department employees, plan, organize and host a very popular and successful two day conference that draws educators from across North America and workshop instructors from around the world. Though the conference has a strong Shakespeare studies mandate, it also provides a wide range of practical arts-based workshops that appeal to English and Drama teachers at both the elementary and secondary level. Each year, participants enjoy two live theatre productions and have ample time to network with colleagues and chat with their instructors. The conference is deliberately capped at about 160 people to allow for a friendly and unhurried exchange of ideas. It’s not surprising that many of our participants are repeat “multiple-attenders”.
We look forward to seeing YOU at our 2010 conference.
