The proceeds from your conference fees also go to support drama scholarships for area students, bursaries to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare School and an after-school program for students in the Avon Maitland District School Board.

SHAKESPEARE AFTER SCHOOL
Shakespeare After School invites students in Grades 9 to 12 in the Avon Maitland and Huron Perth Catholic District School Boards to take in workshops and performances at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and get to know their fellow drama enthusiasts from other schools. The program holds two events in the fall and two in the spring, plus an annual trip to the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The events draw students from across the district – some of them driving more than an hour to get to the theatre after school. The entire program is offered free to the students, thanks to funding from the Festival and the Teachers-Festival Liaison Council.
